Rome Dec 14 1963 - Very Reverend Father your holiness will certainly recall that a few times already in the past have allowed me to recommend to her prayers cases particularly tragic and worthy of attention. So I would like to thank you warmly on behalf of those concerned for your prayers for a woman, a Catholic doctor, sick of cancer, or the son of a lawyer in Krakow, seriously ill since birth. Both people are, thank God, good. Let me also very Reverend Father, to entrust to his prayers, a woman paralyzed in this archdiocese. At the same time, I would have recommended the enormous difficulties that my pastoral work meets poor in this situation.  From April 24, you can venerate the remains of St. Pio of Pietrelcina exposed in the crypt of the sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Grazie.
The exposition of the mortal remains of Brother was preceded by a solemn celebration in the square of the Church of St. Pius presided over by His Eminence Cardinal Jose Saraiva Martins, prefect of the Congregation of the Causes of Saints. The celebration was opened by greeting of Monsignor Domenico D'Ambrosio, Archbishop of Manfredonia-Vieste-San Giovanni Rotondo and CEO of the Holy See to the Santuario Works and St. Pio of Pietrelcina. All'omelia Cardinal Martins said the sanctity of St. Pius inviting the faithful to reflect on the mystery of death and the meaning of the relics. To conclude the celebration, greets between 'Aldo Broccato, Provincial Minister of Friars Minor Capuchin Province of Religious Sant'Angelo e Padre Pio. Starting from Friday, April 25 visits to the crypt of the faithful were divided on two separate paths, one for the book and one for all who come to San Giovanni Rotondo without a pass.
